Local Talent Profile: Gabriel Wolfchild
Though Seattle-based folk singer/songwriter Gabriel Wolfchild has only been performing for four years, music has always played a guiding roll in Gabriel's life.
This fact is beautifully showcased both in his first album, 'A Cry to the Moon', and his EP 'The Shooting Stars Sessions'.
"You cannot deny the incredible impact music can, and already has, had on human beings across time," says Gabriel. "Unlike anything else, it bypasses the mind, and speaks directly to the heart."
"I have no doubt that it is through this channel that the world and all of its differences can be brought together and seen for what it truly is: one family."
He must be on to something good: Gabriel's artsy, soulful, crooning performance of Bob Dylan's 'Don't Think Twice, It's Alright' won him a spot on this past season of NBC's 'The Voice'.
Continuing to pursue his musical passion now that his role on the show has wrapped, Gabriel is (unofficially) playing at SXSW on Friday at Sol Collective's Global Local: Austin.
SXSW Bonus: you can go check him out right after attending Nan's 'Mo' Money' SXSW panel!
