Pivot Works Magic with 'Sorcerer's Apprentice'

Saatchi & Saatchi celebrated the 25th year of its New Directors' Showcase at the 2015 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. In honor of that, the ad company asked 25 showcase alums to contribute a minute-long segment to a create an experimental film.

Director Noam Murro teamed up with Pivot Audio to recreate a modern, live-action scene from Walt Disney’s 1940 "Fantasia", entitled "Night Shift". Pivot reworked Paul Dukas’ 1896 “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” into an accompaniment for a lone janitor on night sift, conjuring his mop to life to do his work.

Pivot and Murro's modern take on the magical classic was a charming success, snagging Editor's Pick with online mag Creativity last month.
